    WHAT IS CREDO?
    • What is Credo?

      (CRAY-doe); Latin for "I believe."

Credo is a ministry for local adults who are seeking God. We meet weekly to fellowship with like-minded friends; we learn about the Catholic faith together and, most importantly, we personally encounter the God who loves us. Join us for every session or drop in when you can - we'd love to see you!

      CREDO IS FOR YOU IF...
... you're an active Catholic who wants a deeper understanding our faith
... you used to be Catholic and you're thinking about coming home
... you've never been Catholic but you want to learn what Catholics believe
... you want to meet like-minded people
... you want to feel like you belong to a church family
... you and your significant other want a date night that makes your relationship      stronger
... you and your friends want to grow in your faith together
... you're a human in the teen - adult age range

    THREE PILLARS OF CREDO
    • THREE PILLARS OF CREDO

      KNOW YOUR FAITH
      G
od isn't an ambiguous force in the universe. He is real, tangible, and personal. He longs to be in relationship with us.

To make this possible, He has revealed truths about Himself that we never could have discovered on our own.

He doesn't hide the truth or leave us to figure it out alone. Because He loves us, He has given us His Bride, the Catholic Church, to guide us.

In every Credo session, we study Catholic beliefs as found in Scripture and Tradition so we can know Him, worship Him, and be changed by Him.

      FIND YOUR PEOPLE
The Word of God tells us it is not good for man to be alone. We see the truth of this when we look around at our broken world - or, more poignantly, when we look in our own hearts. God designed us for community. Not just a congregation, where we smile and wave from our pews to people who vaguely recognize us but real community. Communion.

It's the people who know us and challenge us to seek Jesus. It's the village that supports us in our joys and sorrows. It's the brothers and sisters in Christ who pray for us and with us. It's, "Hey, we have extra dinner how about y'all come over?" and "I've had too much free time since I retired; do you need help with the new baby?" and "I heard he's not doing well. Can we sit with you in the hospital?" It's something sacred.

Every Credo session is a chance to meet like-minded people and build the Church family we're made for.

      FOR THE GLORY OF GOD
St. Augustine said "You have made us for Yourself, O God. Our hearts are restless until they rest in You."

We can search the whole world over trying to satisfy our desires for purpose, identity, and authentic love. At the end of the day, He's the One we're looking for.  He doesn't just have the answers, He is the answer.

We exist to know Him and to make Him known. We want God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We want the whole world to meet the One Who saves us.

We don't just learn and laugh together; we worship together and we invite others into that worship. We will equip you to strengthen your personal relationship with Christ and to be His witness out in the world.

      WHERE?
Credo is hosted by Saint Paul Catholic Church at 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, OH.
You can find us in the Parish Center Gathering Space. (Located between the church and school buildings). Go through the glass doors, up the stairs, and through the divider door.

Parking is available to the left of the church (next to Domino's).

      WHEN?
      Credo sessions are from 6 - 7:30 pm on the 2nd - 4th/5th Wednesday
of each month, September through May.

Schedule is subject to change based on holidays, weather, etc.
You can find the complete, updated schedule at "Credo Schedule" tab on the left of this page.

      WHAT TO EXPECT?
      6:00 PM
Each session starts with fellowship (fancy church talk for "hanging out") and light refreshments. This is the part where you'll mingle, make a new friend, etc.

      6:30 PM
A presenter will share about a topic of Catholic theology. The topic schedule follows the structure of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. You're welcome to attend a session here or there; we want you here whenever you can make it! Those who join us for all of the Credo sessions will receive a thorough overview of the basic teachings of the Catholic faith.

      7:15 PM - Lights off!
You're free to go... or stay! Hang out with friends; ask the presenter follow-up questions; take time to pray in the church. So many options!
